Nita L. Watson is a USA Competitive Boxing Trainer, Solution-Focused & Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, Speaker, and the visionary founder of The Self Care Lab, a full-service, USA certified boxing and fitness club.
The Self Care Lab Boxing & Fitness Club (TSCL) was founded in 2016 by Nita L. Watson. In her career, Nita has advocated for youth programming and community enrichment in Pomona as she has advanced efforts to provide trauma informed care for youth and vulnerable adults over the last 20 years. Nita has held various roles over her long career including therapeutic behavioral services supervisor, therapist, marriage counseling associate, and boxing coach. She has a passion for supporting fostered probation youth and has extensive experience creating and coordinating treatment plans for both young age boys and girls.
Nita believes that practical self-care is a community endeavor and should be accessible for all. She also believes in improving the health of our community through individual practices of physical and mental strength training.
